Complex installations in live railway environments

The examples below will give you an indication of the variety of projects we have undertaken in live railway environments.

  • Colliers Wood - This project involved installation of four units on the roof of an Underground station. To achieve this required the use of an 80 tonne crane, partial road closures of the Sout Circular Road and specially designed placing pads to enable the units to sit on the roof without causing structural damage to the parapet wall.
  • West Kensington - Within this project we were required to set up an operational centre for the maintenance of the Northern Line, which was based in the centre of London. Six 60x12ft accommodation units were lifted down a railway embankment, using a 120 tonne crane. Advanté  arranged all police escorts, road closures and parking suspensions. We designed, built and installed the compound including all steel walkwaus and stairways.
  • Jubilee Line - Whilst this one is now quite some time ago, our experience on this is still very relevant today. We were selected for this project due to our previous performance, which had given our Client the confidence that we would be able to achieve the deadline set for this high profile project, which led to the opening of the stations for the Millennium Dome. We were required to set up all temporary accommodation relating to all stations within the Jubilee Line extension. For this Project, multi duplexing units were required to provide an operational base for all station staff. The site-up included changing rooms, showers as well as offices and welfare facilities.
