We were asked to install six units on a plateau 20m above ground level over an operational underground railway line. Health and Safety considerations were obviously paramount in the successful installation of these units.
The operation was carried out on a Sunday with full site management in order to minimise disruption to maintenance works. Part of the successful delivery included: advising the Cleint of the size of units and the type of base required, desinging and building all steel stairways and walkways, arrangeing all line closures, supplying SPIC's and other personnel.
A 180tonne crane was used to position the units and temporary line closures were in place during the lifting operation.
