Modern Slavery Policy

Policy statement

Advanté is committed to driving out acts of modern day slavery and human trafficking within its business and sphere of operation via our supply chain, including sub-contractors, and partners.

The Company acknowledges responsibility to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will ensure transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of goods and services to the organisation.

The company will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking.

People Matter Charter

Organisations across the construction industry are facing increasingly more people challenges, relating to their own workforce and their supply chain. As a Partner of the Supply Chain Sustainability School we collaboratively worked with the other Partners to develop an industry framework to address these challenges, which resulted in the People Matter Charter. Advanté signed up to the People Matter Charter when it was launched in January 2020.

The Charter covers eight commitments to develop and share best practice, a number of which relate directly to Modern Slavery.

  • Equality
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Skills and training
  • Workforce culture
  • Living Wage
  • Due diligence
  • Labour legal requirements
  • Labour exploitation
  • and Payments.

The company Directors shall take responsibility for implementing this policy statement and its objectives and shall provide adequate resources (training, etc) and investment to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within the organisation and within its supply chain.

A full copy of this policy and a copy of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 is accessible to all employees electronically and is a component of our Integrated Management System.
