Advanté Festive Shutdown 2025
Important Information...
The Advanté team and their families walked 13km from Benfleet, with one colleague joining all the way from New York, to raise funds for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. Together, they’re supporting vital wellbeing services for construction workers and their families.
On Saturday, our amazing Advanté team and their families laced up their trainers for a 13km charity walk in Benfleet to raise vital funds for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. The event was full of energy, laughter, determination, and above all, a shared commitment to supporting the construction community.
The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is the only organisation that provides 24/7 emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support specifically for construction workers and their families. From mental health support and crisis intervention to financial guidance and physical wellbeing services, the charity ensures help is available whenever it’s needed.
With no public funding, the Lighthouse Charity relies entirely on donations from within the industry. As a business that works together with contractors and construction teams every single day, we at Advanté know first-hand just how important their services are. Supporting them through this fundraising walk was a meaningful way for us to give back.
This brilliant initiative was inspired by our colleague Amanda, whose idea motivated the whole team to get involved.
Setting off at 9am, the Advanté team, Bill, Gaby, Jen, Jess, Becks, Wendy and her sister Angela, Toni with her 8-year-old daughter Evelyn, and Skye the dog completed the 13km challenge together.
In true international spirit, Amanda and her son Ben completed their own 13km walk across New York on the very same day. Her effort proved that team spirit knows no borders, and the Advanté family was united in their mission despite the miles between them.
“It was an amazing day. My 8-year-old daughter had the best time joining in, walking alongside me and my coworkers for such a great cause. She was full of energy keeping up with us all and was overwhelmed with emotion at the finish! It was a great team effort from all and already being asked when we can do it again.”
The walk was more than just a physical challenge, it was a chance to come together as colleagues, friends, and family members for a shared purpose. Events like this highlight the importance of wellbeing, both in the construction industry and beyond. Just as the Lighthouse Charity works to support those in need, we believe in fostering a culture of care and community through initiatives like this.
Thanks to the team’s incredible effort, we’ve already raised a fantastic amount for the Lighthouse Charity. But there’s still time to make an even bigger impact. Every donation, no matter how big or small, goes directly towards providing life-changing support to construction workers and their loved ones.

Together, we are helping to ensure that no construction worker or family ever feels alone in a time of need.
