As part of its commitment to decarbonising construction and leading the industry toward Net Zero, Willmott Dixon works in partnership with Advanté to deliver solar-powered welfare units across its projects. Between 2023 and 2025, Willmott Dixon had 146 projects with Oasis EcoLogic Solar welfare units on sites nationwide, helping to reduce emissions and running costs while providing reliable, comfortable welfare for their site teams.
Our Oasis EcoLogic Solar welfare units provide a complete “instant start” solution for construction sites, delivering canteens, offices, toilets, and drying rooms that run primarily on renewable energy. Each unit integrates roof-mounted solar panels, advanced battery storage, and a low-carbon LPG backup system to create a dependable power source that performs year-round.
Over the two-year monitoring period, Willmott Dixon’s solar welfare fleet operated on renewable energy for almost 90% of the time, even during the darker winter months. This demonstrates the effectiveness of our innovative solar and hybrid technology in meeting site demands without compromising comfort or performance.

The EcoLogic Solar hybrid system delivers an intelligent balance between solar generation, energy storage, and efficient backup power:
This smart energy mix ensures each welfare unit maintains consistent operation while dramatically reducing the environmental impact of traditional site welfare.
By replacing traditional diesel-powered units with our EcoLogic Solar welfare units, Willmott Dixon achieved impressive results over the two years:
Using solar-hybrid welfare units also reduced site logistics, with fewer fuel deliveries required and minimal refuelling interruptions, further supporting efficient delivery across Willmott Dixon sites.
Willmott Dixon has set ambitious goals to achieve Net Zero operational carbon by 2030, with sustainability embedded at every stage of its operations. The continued use of renewable-powered welfare units aligns perfectly with this mission, reducing reliance on fossil fuels while demonstrating leadership in sustainable construction.
Across its sites, Willmott Dixon continues to explore innovative solutions that enhance wellbeing, efficiency, and environmental responsibility – and the results from the Oasis EcoLogic Solar units reinforce the value of sustainable site welfare as part of its wider carbon reduction strategy.
Beyond energy performance, the Oasis Welfare range is designed with people and practicality in mind. Each unit offers instant setup with no external connections required, providing a fully functional and comfortable space from day one. Workers benefit from well-equipped canteens, modern washrooms, and quiet office spaces – all powered by solar-hybrid energy.
This combination of sustainability, reliability, and user comfort has made the Oasis range a trusted choice for Willmott Dixon’s teams, supporting both project efficiency and employee wellbeing.
The success of Willmott Dixon’s solar welfare programme shows that high-performance welfare and low-carbon operation go hand in hand. By embracing proven solar technology, the company continues to demonstrate how innovation can deliver real progress toward a greener, more responsible construction industry.
As Willmott Dixon continues to pioneer sustainable building practices, Advanté remains proud to support this journey with welfare solutions that reflect shared values – delivering sustainable spaces built for tomorrow.
