Coronation of King Charles III

This weekend is the coronation of HRH King Charles III. On behalf of Advanté and our staff, we send our warmest wishes on this momentous weekend celebration.

King Charles has long been known as a keen environmentalist, making his first speech on pollution in 1970 – long before the term ‘global warming’ and sustainability gained importance. As the longest-serving heir to the throne, he has seen 15 British prime ministers and 14 American presidents. As Prince of Wales, he launched the Prince’s Trust and often spoke about organic farming, biodiversity, and renewable energy.

“We can halt the destruction of the world’s rainforests – and even restore parts of them – in order to ensure that the forests do what they are so good at. In other words, storing carbon naturally.” – King Charles III.

With regards to the coronation Buckingham Palace said in its initial announcement, “The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.”

With the weekend of festivities, we’ll be closed on Monday for the King’s Coronation Bank Holiday. We’ll be back on Tuesday 9th May.
