Advanté Volunteer Day at Fair Havens

As part of the Volunteer Day initiative provided for all staff at Advanté, the AdvanTEAM spent a day volunteering for Fair Havens in Southend.

Fair Havens provides care and support to adults living with incurable conditions in Southend, Castle Point and Rochford. They provide free services that are available to people from the day of diagnosis and throughout their life’s journey.

This week, the team carried out some gardening activities, including digging and clearing the garden of weeds. They made a real difference to the outdoor space at Fair Havens, creating clear patches for those active residents who enjoy gardening, to grow plants and tend to the garden themselves.

The wet weather didn’t dampen their spirits, the team had an enjoyable, and worthwhile day! It is fantastic to see their hard work take shape and the garden transformed into a space that will bring huge benefits to the residents.

Victoria Stock, Philanthropy Coordinator at Havens Hospices said, “We are so grateful to you for taking the time out to support our hospice and making such a huge impact in one day. The results really were amazing.”

Fair Haven Hospice Estates Manager commented, “If contractors worked like them, they would be worth every penny”.
